The Power of Prayer

How do we define prayer?

Prayer is “an address (such as a petition) to God or a god in word or though” or “an earnest request or wish”.

How does prayer connect to worship music?

Worship music should be sung prayer, a form of prayer.

How is prayer powerful?

Prayer by itself has no power because God is too big and powerful to be controlled by us. But that does not meaning that prayer to God is not powerful. Prayer is powerful, meaningful, and effective when it is in access to the one true God in a relationship with Him, which is what Christian prayer is.

Because Chritsians have the Holy Spirit living in them, they have the same Spirit and power that raised Christ from the dead living in them. And when we pray the word of God, that is powerful because the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).

So the power of prayer is better described as the power of God, who hears and answers out prayers.
